The University of Winchester held a conference for Learning Disability Nurses and Practitioners to celebrate Learning Disability Nurses in Health Justice. West Yorkshire Liaison and Diversion’s Learning Disability Nurse, Mick, represented the service delivering multiple presentations throughout the day.

Mick presented on Police & Courts – Learning Disability Nursing In West Yorkshire Liaison & Diversion. He also co-presented on the CJS website www.solda.co.uk a website directed at criminal justice professionals who may well support or come into contact with neurodiverse individuals with a view to increasing their own understanding and knowledge base so they can best support these vulnerable clients at all stages in the criminal justice process. Mick also joined the professionals panel in the afternoon answering audience questions and discussing the future of learning disability nursing in the CJS and health care settings.
